The rebrand of Marshall was certainly a career highlight for me. I was briefed along with a fellow designer to redevelop an established brand alongside our daily duties. The group was comprised of 7 business lines which needed to be resigned to fit under one umbrella identity. We created our brand guideline which in itself required so much account management in terms of creating a style and logo which everyone would be happy with.
As a designer I learnt the importance of selling the idea or concept. Working on a project of this level you have to have confidence in your work and be willing to justify your choices. Everything from the signage to desktop wallpapers needed to be created in this new style. We steered the direction with the brand and created the content to deliver the new brand. Professionally I developed the most during the time period in terms of time management, prioritising, efficiency in general and attention to detail.
