Historically Powerpoint and designers where the equivalent of oil and water - they just did not mix. Through the development of programs and different technology the two worlds can co-exist. The process of designing slide deck templates should always be considered an investment in time. User functionality and the workplace demographic are the strongest points to focus on within these types of briefs.

The real challenge is finding an impactful design that people can easily navigate. The direction of the decks changed as the brand evolved. The white space style came from a custom sales slide deck I had designed for another business unit. As opposed to the heavy navy templates we initially created, these slides where done as an inverse style. The outcome was very surprising the design approach resulted in something that was sleek and well polished. We eventually began to explore more with the white space style and then from that developed a new corporate template.

Corporate identity needs to flow through all communication aspects.
